Last week, a group of 40 home sharers came together for the launch of the Cork Home Sharing Club at the Blue Angel Bar located in the iconic Cork Opera House.
Club leader Eamonn O’Leary served as the evening’s master of ceremonies and kept the night moving by introducing a series of guest speakers. One of the night’s featured guests included Malachy Quinn, leader of the Dublin Home Sharing Club. He spent a few moments discussing his experiences in Dublin and some of the activities the group there have undertaken since launching last year.
O’Leary spoke about some of the reasons he was keen to launch a Home Sharing Club in Cork. “I’m excited about the opportunity to come together and make new friends, to share stories and make suggestions on how to improve the home sharing experience, for both hosts and guests,” O’Leary said. He also noted the opportunity the Cork Home Sharing Club presents to work and interact with local businesses, citing a desire to pull together another Small Business Walk in Cork.
Home Sharing Clubs have been popping up across the globe and Airbnb hosts have eclipsed 100 clubs launched worldwide!
