Last night, 80 Dublin hosts launched Ireland’s first home sharing club at The GPO Witness History Exhibition. The club is a chance for home sharers to meet to discuss local issues and work together on community projects. Dublin club members also plan to inform policymakers about the benefits of home sharing and work with them on progressive rules.
Malachy, a host from North Strand, Dublin 1, chairs Ireland’s first home sharing club. He told us more about the importance of last night’s launch:
Dublin Airbnb Home Sharers have formed an independent club in order to ensure that the benefits that responsible home sharing can bring to the city and the community are fully recognised and promoted. As a representative body we look forward to working with other stakeholders in the capital.
Host-led home sharing clubs are springing up all over the world and we encourage our hosts to take the lead and start one of their own.
